Full Paper Format Guidelines

Formatting Guidelines:

  1. Margins: Use 1-inch margins on all sides of the paper.
  2. Font: Use a legible font, such as Times New Roman or Arial.
  3. Font Size: Use a 12-point font size throughout the paper, including the main text, headings, and references.
  4. Line Spacing: Double-space the entire paper, including the abstract, main text, quotations, references, and appendices.
  5. Alignment: Align the text to the left-hand margin, leaving the right-hand margin ragged (not justified).
  6. Page Numbers: Place page numbers in the top right corner of each page, starting from the title page.
  7. Title Page: Create a separate title page with the title of your research, your name, institutional affiliation, and the date.
  8. Headings: Use clear and descriptive headings to organize the sections of your paper. APA provides specific formatting guidelines for different levels of headings (e.g., Level 1, Level 2, etc.).
  9. In-text Citations: Use parenthetical in-text citations to indicate the source of your information or ideas, following APA guidelines.
